Shock Breaks In

Ah, Nostalgia! This is a rendering of one of the major villains I created when writing for Palladium Books, Shock, who is also presented in the Gallery here in the piece titled "Shock-ing Display". She is from the super hero game, Heroes Unlimited, thus the comic book style of the piece. Using some experimental power amplifiers, she breaks into a super being detention facility to free some of her minions. This is a shot of the aftermath of her grand entrance.

At the time, comic books were just making the big switch to computer coloring, and the piece was done as an old school comic cover, thus the solid colors, some kind of hard on the eyes, and the hard color contrasts. Unfortunately, it didn't make the cut and another, more modern looking piece got the cover spot.

Roughly 14x18 with inks, watercolors, Prismacolor pencils and some acrylic detailing.
